We met Candy back in 2016. From our first meeting we instantly felt a connection with her. Her warm, friendly, kind demeanor shone through.
It was an extremely daunting time for us embarking on the surrogacy journey. After going through a cancer diagnosis and treatment to then finding out I wouldn’t be able to carry a baby. After the first meeting with her we instantly felt at ease.
The journey was something that has affected our life in a way that I never imagined. The journey was incredible and extremely positive which I believe was a credit to Candy. She communicated everything throughout and it felt like a team. She restored my faith in humanity, kind people do exist.
I’m not going to lie, the birth was tough.
We felt incredible guilt with the pain Candy went through to give us a child but we stayed close after the birth. She amazed me how well she bounced back and positive she was about the journey we have had which really helped.
We stayed in touch after the birth and checked on each other regularly. Candy always communicated with us that she would happily do it again. At that point we were extremely content with our child, we weren’t ready to have another just yet.
As time went on we started to explore the idea of having another child. Unfortunately the timing didn’t aline with Candy but at this point I didn’t realise that we was to embark on another incredibly journey and meet some fantastic people.
Candy helped us find another surrogate and supported us all through another journey. She introduced us to Angie. Yet again (I didn’t think this was possible) I felt a connection. Another super kind, caring, funny and generous person. I felt as ease that we were in good hands with Angie and Candy supporting on the side line.
This pregnancy was not as straightforward and had a few bumps in the road but Angie was an absolute trouper. She was always positive! She communicated everything all the time and kept us in the loop.
