Hi, I’m Candy Cox, a mother of four (including a set of twins), a three-time surrogate, and the founder of Mamma Bear Surrogacy Consulting Services (Mamma Bear SCS). My life has been shaped by love, resilience, and a desire to help others, and these values are the foundation of everything I do at Mamma Bear SCS.
Becoming a mother was the most transformative experience of my life. My children taught me the meaning of unconditional love and inspire me every day to be a better person. It’s that love and the profound joy of parenthood that motivated me to help others experience the same gift.
My surrogacy journey began after hearing a patient’s parent share their story as a surrogate. Moved by their experience, I started researching and discovered countless stories of women who couldn’t carry children of their own. Their stories ignited something in me—a calling to give back in a way that could change lives forever.
With my partner’s support (and a mix of curiosity and skepticism from my best friend Angie), I embarked on my first surrogacy journey. The most challenging part was finding the right agency, but once I did, the process itself was smooth and life-changing. Seeing the joy in the parents’ eyes when they held their baby for the first time was unforgettable. That moment reaffirmed my purpose, and I went on to complete two more surrogacy journeys.
Each journey strengthened my passion for surrogacy, but it also opened my eyes to the challenges surrogates face. Agencies often prioritized profit over people, and surrogates were left without the guidance and support they deserved. That’s when I knew I had to do something different.
I founded Mamma Bear SCS to create a surrogate-first approach—one that celebrates and empowers surrogates every step of the way. With over eight years of experience in the surrogacy field and my own personal journeys, I’ve dedicated my life to supporting surrogates, ensuring they feel valued, heard, and cared for.
Angie and I have been best friends for over 13 years, and we bring that same connection and joy to every surrogate we work with. Together, we’re here to make your surrogacy journey smooth, empowering, and unforgettable.

Hi, I’m Angelica—though everyone calls me “Boo”! I’d like to start by congratulating you on considering surrogacy, an incredible act of love that has the power to change lives in ways you can’t imagine. I know this because I’ve been there.
I’ll be honest: when my best friend Candy first told me she was going to be a surrogate, my first reaction was, “Are you crazy? How are you going to give up your baby?” Like many people, I had a huge misconception about surrogacy. But then I witnessed Candy’s journey. I saw how much joy and fulfillment it brought her and the families she helped. By her second journey, I was sold.
When Candy told me that Caroline, the intended mother from her first journey, had asked her to carry again but she couldn’t because she was already in the process of her third journey, I didn’t hesitate—I offered to step in. It was a leap of faith, and while my journey wasn’t as smooth as Candy’s, it was one of the most rewarding experiences of my life. The family I helped has become an extension of my own, and we still keep in touch, sharing updates about our kids and our lives.
Being a surrogate changed me forever. The feeling of doing something so beautiful for another family is indescribable, and it’s what inspires me every day at Mamma Bear SCS.
